The quarter is ideal for students, as the two major universities Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) and the technical university Technische Universität München(TUM) are located here. Numerous small stores, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and pubs have been established here and provide a cosmopolitan, tolerant and culturally diverse lifestyle.
